The Specimen on TV!

I know it’s been a while since there was news on The Specimen, but we now have some exciting news. Starting today, July 1, 2013 The ShortsHD channel has licensed The Specimen to be part of their broadcast lineup.Specimen_TV

ShortsHD is a channel dedicated to playing nothing but high quality short films. They reached out to me a few weeks ago and we came to an agreement allowing them a three-year non-exclusive right to play the film on their channel in the US, video on demand, and iTunes. The channel is currently only available on DirecTV channel 568 and ATT UVerse channel 1789. There’s a chance it may also expand to Europe, as well as other cable networks in the future. I’ll be sure to keep you up to date as that happens.

I have not yet received the official premiere date, and will send out a notice once I know, but in the meantime your can please check your listings for the times in your area. I’m very excited for this opportunity to expand the viewing reach of the short. As part of the licensing deal however I am not allowed to have The Specimen freely available on the internet, which is why it’s no longer available.

A favor to ask of you all. I don’t have DirecTV or U-Verse, but want to share in the fun of seeing it on the big screen. If you have one of those services and see The Specimen on air, please snap a picture of it and post it to The Specimen’s Facebook Page or Twitter Account. I’d appreciate it, and I’ll do a random drawing from the submissions to win a Specimen Poster.
Thanks as always for your support.

Sincerely,
Paul Cuoco
