Mercy Now Available on DVD

Mercy Now Available on DVD

After a successful run on the festival circuit, MERCY is now available for purchase on DVD!

To celebrate the release (and let’s face it, to entice some of you to buy) we’ve cut together a new trailer!  Watch it below or click through to Vimeo to see it High Definition.

The special edition DVD is available exclusively through Amazon.com, for only $10 USD.  We’ve put a lot of work into putting as much entertaining information as possible into the DVD while simultaneously showcasing the work of some extraordinarily talented collaborators who helped make MERCY a reality.

First, watch the 14-minute mini-action-mystery-movie, featuring special effects, swordplay, and the “Breakout Action Star of the Year” as a sexy siren in a plaid skirt… and then experience a multitude of special features. THREE commentaries featuring director Tony Teofilo and actors Emilee Harris and James Pomichter, photo galleries, concept art, a music-only track, test footage, alternate scenes, and DVD-ROM features that allow you to download production art for your own use.

So please click through and pick up a copy, then head back to Amazon.com and write us a review to let us know what you think.  If you’ve already seen the film at a film festival, private screening, or from a review copy, we’d love for you to leave a review on Amazon.com as well.  The more positive reviews, the more likely someone who doesn’t know about Mercy might take a chance on her, and we want her story to be viewed by as many people as possible.

Thank you all for your support!

Mercy Onesheet

Killed in a wave of small-town hysteria motivated by a hate crime, Mercy Hawkins (Emilee Harris) is resurrected by a mysterious healer to seek justice against her attackers. Newly reborn and hell-bent on revenge, Mercy has little memory of who she was or how she died. To learn the identity of her killers, she must reclaim her past, her memory, and uncover the brutal secrets surrounding her death. First on Mercy’s hit list is Psychobilly (James Pomichter), a pack-rat serial killer with strange powers – and a secret connection to Mercy’s demise. As she confronts her first adversary, Mercy will learn that though her painful past is a weapon that can be used against her, sometimes a broken heart is the only power that can save the world. A sexy, surreal vision from director Antony Teofilo and producer Paul Cuoco that follows in the spirit of The Crow and Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Mercy also pays homage to the “schoolgirl slasher” genre popularized in Japanese anime films. Steeped in mythology and rich detail, Mercy provides a first glimpse into The Tales of Earlytown, an epic new saga in which the death of Mercy Hawkins is only the first in a series of strange events that will change the world forever. In Earlytown, secrets (and bodies) rarely ever stay buried. Given time, your sins will always find you… and when they do, woe to the wicked: Mercy is coming, and she has forgotten the meaning of her name.

Love the Doug

Posted on 02 June 2006 by Paul

Speaking of collaboration, I just wanted to give a shout out to one of my frequent collaborators, Doug Delaney. He shot both Inheritance, and Glazed, as well as my new project which for now will remain nameless. Doug still manages to find the time to collaborate with me, even while moving up the Hollywood ladder working as a DI Colorist on the ICE HARVEST and THE MATRIX: REVOLUTIONS and additional color timing for THE ITALIAN JOB, THE MATRIX: RELOADED, JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK, SPY KIDS, VANILLA SKY, ANY GIVEN SUNDAY, AMERICAN BEAUTY, KUNDUN and ARMAGEDDON, among many others.
He’s recently moved to Post Logic Studios (see the article here. )
Doug is also featured in the Dear DI Colorist feature in this Month’s Post Magazine. (Sorry, no link yet…)
Congratulations Doug. Beers are on me.

Paul
